These deeds transfer the property from the old defaulting property owner to the new buyer at auction. Tax defaulted auctions have a starting bid of the back taxes. An actual sucessful example is a property that was valued at $70,000 and purchased for the amount of back taxes which was only $422. The new owners left the auction withthe deed to the property.
